In December 2017, the OLACEFS Presidency, in the charge of Mexico’s SAI, presented the report “Challenges and good practices of OLACEFS SAIs in the institutional implementation of ISSAIs”.
The document is the result of a regional survey answered by 19 SAIs (Argentina, Belize, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Uruguay and Venezuela), as well as the follow-up webinars carried out in collaboration with the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI).
The report includes the challenges and good practices relating to:
- The institutional planning for the implementation of ISSAIs;
- The process of adapting these standards;
- Training and raising awareness on the matter, and
- Action to consider when applying them.
