Every November 25 the international day for the elimination of violence against women is commemorated, and this year, as an organization, we want to be part of that commemoration to present to the public the new Working Group of the Latin American and Caribbean Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (OLACEFS), on Gender Equality and Non-Discrimination.

Five years after the adoption of the 2030 Agenda, whose cornerstone is to not leave anyone behind, and being one of the Goals for Sustainable Development to empower women and girls and achieve gender equality, the OLACEFS has recently created this Working Group with the aim of mainstreaming the gender perspective in the organization and in its member entities.

We invite you to tune in this Wednesday, November 25 at 3:00 p.m. (GMT), on the Microsoft Teams platform, to the webinar that will deal with the systemic violence that affects society, addressing this phenomenon and explaining it in a way that can be analyze its differentiated effects on women and girls. For this, we will have the presentation of Minister Diana Marcos, Minister of the Court of Accounts of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay; a speech from Dr. Pablo Celi de la Torre, Comptroller General of the Republic of Ecuador; the speeches of Cecilia Pérez Díaz, Director of the Comprehensive Program for Childhood and Adolescence (PIAA-UdeC), Academic and Researcher, former Minister of Planning and SERNAM; and Maria-Noel Vaeza, Regional Director of UN Women; and, with the moderation of Osvaldo Rudloff, Executive Coordinator of OLACEFS.
