The IV International Seminar on Sustainable Development Goals, Auditing and Strong Institutions It will take place on November 11 and 12 at 11:00 a.m. in Santiago. This event is jointly organized by the Executive Secretariat of OLACEFS and the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic of Chile, and it aims to discuss the environmental and social effects and impacts that the pandemic has and will have in the region.
On November 13 at 1:00 p.m. in Buenos Aires, the second session of the cycle of Post-pandemic Governance Webinars will be held, organized by the Technical Commission on Good Governance Practices (CTPBG), which will have the participation of the Global Director of Transparency International to discuss issues related to Integrity.
The Capacity Building Committee (CCC) will organize the Performance Audit Webinar, which will be held on November 18 at 4:00 p.m. in Brasilia, and whose objective is to highlight the importance of performance audits in the work of SAIs as an important tool to add public value and fight corruption. The opportunity will also be propitious to present the MOOC on Performance Auditing, which was developed by OLACEFS, with the technical and financial support of the German Cooperation, through GIZ.
Finally, on November 25, we will commemorate the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, an opportunity in which the Working Group on Gender Equality and Non-Discrimination (GTG) will organize a Webinar at 4:00 p.m. in Santiago, to talk about the systemic violence that affects society, addressing this phenomenon and explaining it so that the differentiated effects of social norms on women and men can be analyzed. Additionally, the GTG will take advantage of presenting the various initiatives it is developing.
